Q: Where will the California Vision 2020 conference be held?
A: The California Vision 2020 conference will be held at Sacramento Convention Center, 1400 J St, Sacramento, CA 95814 in Sacramento, California.
Q: What is the format of the conference? What can I expect when I come?
A: Each day there will be inspiring keynote presentations, fascinating panels, music and cultural performances from the mainstage. Additionally, there will be time for breakout sessions that focus on particular areas of change, ranging from sustainability to equity, when you’ll be able to engage with others on topics that are of the most importance to you.
Q: How much does the California Vision 2020 conference cost?
A: Ticket Pricing
Early Bird tickets are $349.
After September 10, the price goes up to $449.
Benefactor tickets are available for $1000. This ticket not only supports the costs for activist and youth passes but also includes backstage passes to the speaker green room, front row seats, and unlimited access to videos of every main stage and breakout presentation!
For those community organizers and activists whom we wish to support, we have a limited number of Activist passes for $175
Q: Can I purchase a 1-day pass?
A: No. All passes are inclusive of all three days of programming.
Q: Are tickets refundable?
A: Tickets are non-refundable.
You may purchase a ticket and transfer it to someone else. See below for instructions.
How to Transfer Your Tickets to Someone Else:
You can transfer your tickets to someone else by going on line to your EventBrite ticket registration and editing your name and email address to the name and address to whom you'd like to transfer the tickets. They will now receive the updates, reminder emails and other organizer communication.

Q: Why does it say The Shift Network on my credit card statement or receipt?
A: The California Vision 2020 conference is produced by The Shift Network.
Q: What times does the conference start and end each day?
A: Registration will open at 11am on Thursday. The program begins at 1:30pm on Thursday and 9am Friday and Saturday, and will run no later than 10pm each night. Saturday the conference closes at 5:30pm.
Q: Where can I park?
Q: Where should I stay in Sacramento?
A: There are two hotels within one block of the convention center and several more within 1 mile. We have a discounted room block available at the Sheraton Grand, which is a beautiful hotel adjacent to the convention center. We recommend staying in the room block to maximize collaborations with other Conference participants.The discounted rate is $175/night for single or double occupancy. Rooms must be reserved no later than August 25, 2017 to hold your spot and guarantee the conference discount.
Q: How will I know what is going on and where to go once I get to the conference?
A: When you sign up you’ll get access to an app that is specially designed to help you navigate this conference and connect with other attendees.
Q: What is the dress code for the conference?
A: Please dress comfortably and in your unique style. You will be among community leaders, artists, activists, teachers and others who have a social mission heart so there is no requirement for formal or business dress.
Q: Do I need to bring anything to the conference?
A: Nothing is required to attend the conference, but feel free to bring a water bottle, tablet, etc. for your use throughout the day.
Q: Will there be Wi-Fi at the conference?
A: Yes, as a conference attendee you’ll have free access to Wi-Fi.
Q: Is food provided at the conference?
A: We will have lunch and dinner breaks where you can enjoy the nearby farm-to-fork, organic and vegan restaurants and grab coffee at artisan coffee houses. Click here to link to a map. Printed restaurant lists and maps will be available at the check-in table.
Q: I am a parent. Can I attend the conference with my child?
A: Yes. We encourage parents of students under the age of 16 to bring them.
